Runtastic Mitgründer Florian Gschwandtner verlässt die App

„Es war eine großartige zehnjährige Reise mit wundervollen Erfahrungen“, schreibt er gestern Abend auf Instagram. Der Fitness-App Entwickler aus Pasching will sich für einige Monate eine Auszeit nehmen. Weitere Pläne sind noch nicht bekannt.

Die App ist 2009 unter anderem von Gschwandtner gegründet worden. Er übergibt das Ruder an die Mitgründer der Sport-Applikation Alfred Luger und Christian Kaar. 2015 hat Adidas das Unternehmen für 220 Millionen Euro übernommen. Auf Instagram schreibt Gschwandtner weiter: Ich werde diese unglaubliche Reise nie vergessen!

Hi friends and followers, Today I have big news, but will keep the long story "short". I am stepping down as the CEO of #Runtastic at the end of this year and I will handover Runtastic to my great co-founders @alfredoitis and @chrisika83 (and thx to @ener_g23 ). It's been an amazing 10 year journey with so many wonderful experiences. I met many great and inspiring people and made so many new friends. Becoming part of the best sports brand in the world - #adidas - was another exciting chapter in my life. Our team continues to excel and I know that we have the right strategy and people in place for taking Runtastic together with adidas to the next level. What's next?
